1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains when you can obtain a refund for an AutoPilot subscription, how to request one, and how long it takes. It forms part of our Terms of Service. Where local consumer law grants you rights beyond those described here, those rights apply in addition to this policy and are not limited by it.
Our position is straightforward: if the Services do not work for you and you tell us within a reasonable period, we would rather return your money than keep a customer who is not getting value.
2. 14-day money-back period
Every new paid subscription carries a 14-day money-back period beginning on the date of your first payment. If you are not satisfied for any reason within those 14 days, you may request a full refund of that payment. You do not need to justify the request, and using the Services during the period — including generating and publishing content — does not disqualify you.
The 14-day period applies to your first paid subscription only. It does not reset on renewal, on upgrade, or if you cancel and later resubscribe with the same account or organisation.
3. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically. We send a reminder before each renewal for annual plans, and receipts for all charges.
If a renewal charge was unintentional and you have not materially used the Services in the new period, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. “Materially used” means generating new content, publishing, or connecting a new website in that period — logging in alone does not count.
Outside that window, renewal payments are non-refundable, and cancelling stops the following renewal rather than refunding the current period. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
4. Cancellation during a term
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time in a monthly plan.
For annual plans cancelled after the money-back period, we do not ordinarily refund the remainder of the term. Where circumstances warrant it — a sustained service failure, or a material adverse change we made to the Services — we will consider a pro-rata refund of the unused months.
If we materially and adversely reduce the core functionality of your plan during a paid term, you are entitled to terminate and receive a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees for the unused portion, as set out in our Terms of Service.
5. Upgrades and downgrades
When you upgrade mid-period, we credit the unused value of your current plan against the new one and charge the difference. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the next renewal and no refund is issued for the difference in the current period.
6. What is not refundable
Refunds are not available for:
- Accounts terminated by us for a material breach of the Terms of Service, including abuse of the Services or non-payment.
- Charges older than 14 days that fall outside the circumstances described in sections 2 to 4.
- Custom, enterprise or annual agreements where a signed order form sets out different refund terms — those terms govern.
- Third-party costs you incur separately, such as fees charged by a CMS, social platform or domain provider.
- Dissatisfaction with a specific business outcome, such as a ranking position, traffic figure or conversion rate. We make no guarantee of results, as stated in our Terms of Service.
7. How to request a refund
Send a request through the contact form on this website using the email address associated with your account, and include the reason if you are willing to share it — it genuinely helps us improve. You do not need to provide a reason to receive a refund within the 14-day period.
We acknowledge requests within two business days and decide within five business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Your bank or card issuer typically takes a further 5 to 10 business days to post the funds, which is outside our control.
Refunds are issued in the currency of the original transaction. Where currency conversion applies, the amount you receive may differ slightly from the amount charged because of exchange-rate movement; we refund the original transaction amount, not the converted value.
8. What happens after a refund
When a refund is issued, the subscription ends and access to paid features stops. Content already published to your website or social accounts remains yours and stays where it is — we do not remove or retract it.
You may export your content and data before the account closes. After closure we retain and delete data in line with our Privacy Policy, so please export anything you wish to keep before requesting a refund.
9. Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. We can usually resolve billing errors within a couple of days, whereas a chargeback typically takes months and results in the account being suspended while the dispute is open.
We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are unwarranted, and to decline future service to accounts with a history of fraudulent disputes.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the effective date shown at the top of this page and never retroactively reduce the rights attached to a purchase you have already made.
